VISUAL STORYTELLING
For Journalists, Talk Show Hosts, Filmmakers and Producers
You will learn to create, design and produce media using digital technology,
write and storyboard narratives, create still images using a digital or film camera and
add music and narration to tell stories that illustrate your projects in a concise way.
Participants will develop research and writing skills, narrative storytelling, continuity and flow. The projects in the workshop will be streamed on the Drum Internet Television site which allows participants to demonstrate their work to potential employers and the world. You will develop a reel, understand how visuals, sound effects, narration and music can improve your creative, writing and production skills, and increase your opportunities to find related work and explore new careers.
Google, You Tube, My Space and other internet delivery systems have made it possible to create and disseminate your work in a form that interests potential employers, investors, sponsors and others as a promotional sample of your creativity.
The VISUAL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP will sharpen your storytelling skills and is a prerequisite for other classes we offer:
